In total the cost of this trip was just £81 (€93) per person, including flights and hotel accommodation. Michelle recalls: “ Our time was very limited. It was like going to London for a night out but we’d spend more without even leaving the UK “.
Two mothers are already planning their next trip
The two friends did not think they could travel because of the difficulty of finding someone to care for their children. They finally decided to try it after reading an article about a similar 24-hour trip a week before the big day. The mothers set out for London Stansted Airport with minimal luggage. In the evening, the children remained in the care of relatives.
