LE NUC PLUS ULTRA – The fourth album of a discreet singer and the reissue of the Nirvana master class: here is the menu of the week.
Already the fourth album Clio, this singer with so much sense, started singing late: he learned the guitar at the age of 24 and immediately began composing. Tired of the songs of Alain Souchon and Barbara, the thirty-year-old artist weaves pop stories with sunny melancholy. And he adopts an electric instrumentation with small impressionist touches that allow his husky voice to tell “sleep stories” or snippets of daily life.
The song “Carambolage”, which gives its name to the album, is a delicious duet. Alex Beaupain. “I loved singing this duet with Clio, of course, because the song was very beautiful, but also because it told the story of an accident and a car, even though I don’t have a driver’s license.” explains the latter. La Bisontine, who also sings “I love Paris more”, reveals her style and personality with melodic and catchy tracks, never leaving a touching reserve. A pastel modesty lends instant charm to this new album, which we subscribe to without hesitation.

Nirvana, back to basics
In 1993, this album was undoubtedly the most anticipated album of the moment. Just two years earlier, the Seattle band had won the award for “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” which propelled them to the top of the sales charts. In a very short time, the trio’s second album became an important classic. The challenge for Kurt Cobain, Kris Novoselic and Dave Grohl was to make a sequel to the film. We knew the leader of the trio’s hatred for the fame and fame that had buried him. Therefore, the group will be able to move forward by returning to its roots. NevermindIt was full of great songs, very radio friendly, and benefited from efficient production.
in the womb would be marked by a sound more in line with its punk-rock roots. So the group went to see Steve Albini, the pope of the underground. This would bring back the abrasive and annoying side of Nirvana’s records. Uncompromising, radical and loud, In Utero did not please executives at Nirvana’s record label, Geffen. However, the hits Heart-Shaped Box, Rape Me and All Apologies will take the album to new heights. Thirty years later, In Utero was re-released in a Super Deluxe edition with 72 tracks, including 53 previously unreleased tracks. Two concerts are also offered, as well as rare B-sides. It’s a well-deserved celebration for what will be the band’s final studio album.
