It all starts at three ellipses. People with whom Zabo Martin punctuated the formula “Only poetry”. From now on, these artists from many disciplines offer to fill every weekend in November. Rather, in the damp belly of autumn, poetry often shines with the return of sunny days, thanks to a cultural tradition.
“Why should we wait until spring to immerse ourselves in poetry? On the contrary, when the cold begins to make itself felt, isn’t it essential to get in touch with the active presence of the poets and the brightness of their images? », questions Roquentine. He chose to invite to La Boîte à laver de Laroque-Timbaut four great figures of contemporary literature and poetry: Michel Azama, Alexandre Romanès, Laurence Vielle and Eduardo Berti. A Gypsy, a Belgian, an Argentinian. It’s like a map of Zabo’s new world.
Workshop
Everyone will say what they put behind the hook in their tackles. Zabo Martin judges with hope rather than pessimism: “Poetry is a way of being in the world, of living in it, of saving it; it is a massively structured weapon that must be made audible in all this noise.” His daily life is under constant interaction.
In four meetings, the authors’ foreword will be entrusted to the participants of the writing workshop open for three years in La Boîte à laver. The in-depth study is, as always, animated by the inhabitants of the village on which Zabo’s creative projects are based. “Wild poetry encourages us to abandon the old marked ways of existence. It makes us trembling beings that confront us with the dizziness of reality, it makes us alive. »
And the woman of letters and notes pairs her invitation with a promise: “You won’t come out alive! »
