How can we revive the taste of tapestry in its most contemporary form in the heart of a royal castle with so many works that are as magnificent as they are historical? From 18 June to 29 September 2024, the Palace of Versailles will invite French artist Eva Jospin to present her work Silk Room during the exhibition “Eva Jospin – Versailles” in the castle conservatory. 350 m monumental embroidery work2 and 105 meters long, Silk Room, was first presented for the Dior Haute Couture shows at the Rodin Museum in July 2021. A kind of fascinating throwback to art history, this magnificent embroidery set will be opened this time “It will create a unique dialogue with the majestic architecture of the conservatory and invite visitors to take a tour.”.

This monumental embroidery will spread endlessly over the entire wall of the conservatory. The Versailles conservatory is the only conservatory of its scale and pedigree that can accommodate 1,500 trees.
